remedy for undue worry (:

hellohello!
here's something i read from Pastor Steven Furtick (awesome reads there) that i thought i'd share here, enjoy (:

Anxiety is sin. My anxiety infers that:

- God is incompetent.
If I’m anxious, it suggests that there’s an issue in my life that God is potentially incapable of resolving. If His arm is not short and His ear is not deaf (read Isaiah 59:1) , why am I kicking and screaming trying to save myself?

- God is forgetful.
Do I suspect that my need has slipped God’s mind? Does the Lord need me to send Him a reminder in the form of my panic and stress…just to make sure He doesn’t miss the appointment?

- God is indifferent.
1 Peter 5:7 teaches that I can cast all my anxiety on Him-because-and only because-He cares for me.
By refusing to cast my cares on Him, I expose my deep down belief that He really doesn’t care-about me…about my particular burden. Anxiety puts the pressure on me to perform as my own personal Savior, thereby undermining the intentions of God on my behalf.

Anybody other than me need to repent?

Be anxious for nothing.
Anxiety is unbiblical. It’s counterproductive. And it’s a direct insult to the proven character of a powerful, faithful, loving God.

the clash of the titans.

hello people !
tomorrow marks the 7th week of school, time sure flies(gosh im feeling old now) :D
i hope everyone's coping alright with all the tests/assignments/mid-semester exams piling up.
as mentioned in the previous post, the cool reid library mugging gang is up and running !
so if you need people to study with or just to relieve some stress, you can locate me mostly at level 3 reid library from mondays to thursdays.
nerdifying topics aside(pardon me), the refreshments for this week are looking pretty exciting !
it's the clash of the titans - SINGAPORE VS MALAYSIA !!
we're thinking of prata, chicken rice, mee siam, satay etc etc etc.

HEYO PEPO!!!!


How are you all??heheeheh. most of us are having mid-sem test and assignments and.......(u fill in the blanks yourself =P), this week and next week. Thats mean......STRESS(picture on the left)! nah i don't think u guys are as bad as the person in the pic!=) anyway, just to encourage u guys to never fail to pray(ask) for God's wisdom from Him during these times. I was doing my quiet time this morning and the chapter that i read today really speaks to me about asking God for wisdom. Its in 1 Kings 3:5-12. Its where God asked King Solomon what he wanted and he asked for wisdom. And God granted him wisdom. In Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus said “ask and u will receive”. all u need to do is ask Him! its that easy!so yep, pray to Him for wisdom and i believe that He will surely give it to u!=) alrighty, thats all from me for today. Heheheh. Good luck for all ur tests/exams and all!!!No stress and God Bless!! See u pepo on fri!!!=P

Ahn-YONG haSEHyo.
ahh.. terribly sorry for d lack of update. hehe.. my internet has been quite off lately.. so i can't do much online *yikes*

anw, how has everyone been doing?? i hope u're all good. hehe.. i was just doing my devotional just now, and one statement caught my eye. it says "God has a purpose behind everything He did" and somehow, no matter how simple it sounds, it still caught my attention. indeed, how comforting to know that HE has His reason for creating us. many times in Genesis, it shows us the reason GOd had behind all His creation. and that includes for us too!!! *so no more saying "i'm no good" or "i suck" k?* heheh...

anw, for cell updates, i'm sure u all rmb our theme for dis wk.. hehehe... if not, frm my title u shld get d hit too!! :D:D:D yuppers... we're having KOREAN NITE!!! hehee. how exciting.. juz to tempt u guys.. we're having bimbimbap, seafood pancake, kimchee fried rice, ricecakes, korean dumplings.. hehehe.. am i missing out anything?? let me know if u wan anything else. hehe i dunno wad else i can cook, but i can sure try :D oh yea.. if someone can bring some aloe vera drink.. haha.. dat'll end off d korean nite very nicely :D

kinda inspired by CAM vision day.. u know, all the performances :D hehehe.. yupyup.. indeed, our cell is multi-talented :D ppl can dance... *ahem*, ppl can sing *alyssa*, ppl can sure act... hahaha.. so right!!! in order for u all to make use of your talents, u guys shld go for CAM vision day! hahaha.. kk dat was a short little promo for CAM..

how have you all been? good ?? d weekend was pretty crazy for me, but at the same time it was awesome! :D pastor's msg really struck me.. if u all remembered, he said to dream big, and he also said to expect sth new!

so so so... we shall anticipate sth new from God dis sem k?? lets all continue to dream big for our school, ministry, family etc..

i know for some of us, school is getting tougher and tougher, assignments and tests are streaming in, but juz want to encourage all of you not to lose heart k! always remember we have a BIG DADDY GOD up there looking out for us! :D
